The idea is almost there. Like a shortbread crust with a gelatin topping with fresh sliced peaches, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, or other fresh fruit would be pretty good. Kind of like a French fruit tart. But canned fruit cocktail sounds like a bad texture and god I also hope those are chocolate chips, not cat food!

I get what she was going for. A nice flan with fruit filled jelly. The base is hard and wouldnt go well with the rest. The chocolate would be better without. But a proper fruit flan is pretty dam good.

My grandmother tried to give me a keureg dumped into hot water. Grounds straight into water. Sometimes you gotta say thank you and suffer through the eating or drinking to make your grandma happy.
